Greetings From Your Principal
Dear Mayer Wildcat Families:
I hope you all had a wonderful fall break. Family time is so important for the growth of children. It goes by so fast. The first quarter has ended and it has flown by, too. Thank you for the parents that were able to meet with their child’s teacher for Parent/Teacher conferences. I would like to stress the importance of having every parent meet with his or her child’s teacher and helping to meet our goal for MES, which was to have 100% parent contact for conferences. Hopefully, you had an opportunity to better understand the expectations of your child’s curriculum, learn how you can help at home and get answers to questions you have. We are happy to be a part of your child’s success!
November is a busy month at MES!! We have our first Academic Awards Assembly for our grade levels for Principal’s List, Honor Roll, Student of the Month and Family Literacy. The times are listed in this Newsletter.
One of our favorite events, to help out our families for the holiday season, is our “Turkey Trot”. I am excited to see what our new PE Teacher, coach Zak has in store for us. Be on the lookout for that pledge sheet, coming soon!!
We are “Thankful” at MES for all our staff, students, parents and community partners.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
Mrs. Leonard Principal MES
