Dear Mayer Wildcat Families: “Happy New Year”

We are more than half way through the year! Your children have already experienced a lot of learning and we are so happy to get back into the swing of things and help our students pick up where they left off. We have noticed that the disruption to learning last year has had an impact on students so we are working hard to make up for that but of course we need their #1 teacher to help us with that and that is YOU! PLEASE make sure your child always has access to books/magazines/comics they can read at home - if you need these items, please ask - we can try and get you some! Have your child read to you or you can read to them or you can take turns - you read a sentence then he/she reads a sentence. This is also a wonderful opportunity to bond with your child. Also, read your own books/magazines/newspapers in front of your child. When you model the habit of reading for them - it really makes a difference!

If you have any questions about how your child is performing in school, please call your child's teacher - we are here to help and we want to work with you to do this!

Thank you as always for your support!
